King Saud University Conducts Air Quality Monitoring with Gasmet DX4040

The King Saud University in Saudi Arabia has conducted Air Quality Monitoring with Enviro & Industrial Solutions ME instrumentation – the Gasmet DX4040, with their initiative to perform ambient quality monitoring for their research program.

Air Quality Monitoring Research Program

The program primarily helps the students to learn the structure of the atmosphere, the types of pollutants present in it, and the importance of air quality monitoring. Poor air quality is a threat for human and environmental health and finding solutions requires a comprehensive understanding of the problem.

In addition, this initiative will perform quality control, quality assurance and analysis of pollutant concentrations that are measured the monitoring location. This supports air quality management and guidelines development.

About King Saud University

The King Saud University (KSU) was established ion 1957. It is known to be the first university in Saudi Arabia. KSU is the leading, knowledge-sharing university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). KSU focuses on the highest quality of education, research and entrepreneurship in order to prepare graduates for a brighter future. This is being accomplished through the development of their skills and talent, as well as the cultivation of students’ enthusiasm for life-long learning, which will help them in their path to becoming future leaders of the Kingdom and invaluable agents of knowledge.

About the Gasmet DX4040

Gasmet DX4040, the portable gas analyzer, is the most compact ambient air FTIR analyzer in the world. The key features of the Gasmet DX4040 include a high sensitivity sample cell for lowest possible detection limits, true multi component capability and a built-in-pump, which means that there is no need to use a separate sampling system. The portable gas analyzer is also lightweight, and battery powered providing unparalleled portability for such a powerful analyzer.

The DX4040 can be used to measure up to 50 components simultaneously and addition of new measurement parameters is easy, without any need of hardware changes. The sample cell is at ambient temperature providing low energy consumption for maximum battery life while also minimizing warm up time of the analyzer. Thus, it is one of the best solutions for air quality monitoring.
