Fugitive Emission Monitoring for Oil Exploration Company in Iraq

The Oil and Exploration Company in Baghdad, Iraq has acquired the Gasmet DX4040 from Enviro & Industrial Solutions ME. They will use this instrument for leak detection for fugitive emissions. The Gasmet DX4040 for leak detection is typically used in equipment in an oil and gas, chemical or petrochemical installation. This project is part of their objective to comply with standard regulations.

Leak Detection for Fugitive Emissions

Fugitive emissions are unintentional gas emissions from industrial activities that cannot be detected at sight. Fugitive Emissions are emissions of gases and vapors from pressurized equipment due to leaks and other unintended or irregular releases of gases, mostly from industrial activities. As well as the economic cost of lost commodities, fugitive emissions contribute to air pollution.

More on Gasmet DX4040

Gasmet DX4040 is a portable gas analyzer, and one of the most compact FTIR analyzer in the world. The key features of the Gasmet DX4040 include a high sensitivity sample cell for lowest possible detection limits, true multi component capability and a built-in-pump, which means that there is no need to use a separate sampling system. The portable gas analyzer is also lightweight, and battery powered providing unparalleled portability for such a powerful analyzer.

The DX4040 can be used to measure up to 50 components simultaneously and addition of new measurement parameters is easy, without any need of hardware changes. The sample cell is at ambient temperature providing low energy consumption for maximum battery life while also minimizing warm up time of the analyzer. Thus, it is one of the best solutions for leak detection of fugitive emissions.
