Air Quality Monitoring Network for the Sadara Project
Enviro & Industrial Solutions ME has supplied a complete air quality monitoring network for the Sadara Project. This was an initiative by Kellogg Brown & Root Saudi LTD (KBR) as they are one of the main curators for the Sadara project.
The Sadara Project
The Sadara Project is a world scale chemical project being constructed in Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia. This is the world’s largest chemical complex ever built in a single phase, with 26 integrated world-scale manufacturing plants that will produce more than three million tons of products every year.
Aeroqual AQM65 for Fenceline Monitoring
Fenceline monitoring in air quality monitoring network is designed to help refineries and surrounding communities understand how the emissions controls in place at a refinery are working.
The only way to accurately demonstrate the effectiveness of pollution control inside the facility is to monitor emissions on the perimeter (or fenceline). Numerous studies have shown the benefits of both to the operator and to the community of having an ongoing real-time perimeter monitoring capability, such as:
- Providing an independent reference point for impact on surrounding air
- Giving the operator a chance to respond to events before they become a problem
- Optimizing pollution control and abatement practices within the facility
- Inventory of CO2 and other GHG emissions
Aeroqual’s compact air monitoring station represents a new approach, one that delivers the known benefits of fenceline monitoring whilst also being economically viable for industry.
